Notes to help publishing
Stage 1 - Register with the studentguardian (sg)
Registration is easy and need only takes a few minutes. All you need is a valid e-mail address to set up your username and password and registration is done.
As part of the registration process you will be sent an e-mail from the sg. If you don't receive the welcome e-mail please let us know.
Stage 2 - Create your profile
So that other members can see who is submitting to the forums you can, if you like, submit an image of yourself, or choose an avatar.
Stage 3 - Have a look at the Member's menu and writer focused Publishing menu and submit
Member's can upload: New Articles, Images, You tube video, their blogs, college, web links and even a personal biography.
To submit content you can upload automatically through our online editor system linked the member's menu, but if you prefer you can drop us an e-mail and we'll take it from there.
Hint: As mainstream word processors are packed with code (that slows things down) content is best cut and pasted from word pad, however, our online editor also has a facility on the tool bar to paste from word which also helps remove most of the messy code.
Images are best kept under 1mb and re-sized to 575 pixels (wide) with proportions constrained, but don't worry too much about this, we can re-size for you here.
Note: Please use the font verdana 12 if you can, but this is not essential
Finally, we prefer to keep editing to a minimum, but if contributors want some help before it goes live please ask for help it’s your point of view that counts.
